Christmas Ornaments

Okay, so some of you might think these are cheesy, but they are easy to make! First you need some gold or silver wire (like the kind you make jewelry with.) You also need round green beads, and an assortment of other colored round beads for the "ornaments" on the tree. Then you will need gold or silver beads that are one size smaller for the trunk of the tree. You cut about 30 inches of wire (depending on the size of your beads) and string on 10 green beads. Then you string on 9 beads (I did 7 green and 2 other colors for the ornaments) and you bend your wire over, take the other side of the wire and string it through the same beads and pull it tight. You do this (making sure to interweave some other colored beads besides green) until you get to the top which only has one green bead. Crimp the wire and cut it. String through a piece of thread or cotton cord for the hanger. Then hot glue a star on the top crimped part of the wire. To make the trunk, cut about 9 inches of wire and string it through the bottom center four beads and work your way down until you have 3 rows (use all the same colored beads for this part.) After pulling the last row tight, cut the wire and bend the ends back with pliers. It's an easy way to make homemade ornaments!
