My Attempt At Making Homemade Candles

While perusing Michael's for a new craft idea, I saw an isle with supplies for making your own candles. So I bought some soy wax chips, the fragrance and color of my choice and some candle tins and wicks. It was fairly simple and fairly cheap to make. And it was fun to try something new. This was my first homemade candle. Definitely not the prettiest or the most professional looking, but I love homemade stuff (especially to give as gifts.) I'd love to experiment with various colors, scents, and designs. And I think with practice I'll eventually be able to move on to molded candles and perhaps make something really cool (without cracks and flaws.) But for now, all you get to see is this. :)
