Homemade Bibs

My friend Kathy makes lots of things from stuff just laying around her house. Here she made Vessel a bib by cutting a hole in a hand towel and sewing a stretchy collar there. It is great and has more thorough coverage than a typical bib. This one actually makes it so he doesn't get food on his clothes, plus it's super absorbent! Such a good idea, right?

I love that idea. I have a bunch of those that my mother-in-law made and mine are hideous fleece fabrics. A serious eyesore but something I am willing to put up with b/c of the great coverage. They are awesome. Where do you find the stretchy necks??

Jamie,
Don't you remember having several of these when you were little? G. Grandma Jessie made your mom and me a whole bunch of these. We used the heck out of them.Auntie Kim

- just for the record, I keep new towels on hand for making bibs out of for gifts (like the one for Vessel). For my own kids, I would sometimes make them from used towels but I like to give these so I keep a supply of new towels on hand. Kathy
