Christmas wrapping paper:
Just get some brown paper bags from your latest grocery shopping adventure, turn them inside out and let your kid(s) paint all over them. Gives any gift a personal touch, literally.

Wreath:
Christmas foliage at the store isn't cheap. So what you do is scour thrift shops or find things on discount. Get a plain wreath and add some flair to it by hot gluing your favorite color ribbon, pinecones from your yard, faux flowers, or whatever you like. You can also find a lot of stuff at the dollar store.
Sewn fabric Christmas tree:
My friend had lots of fabric and asked if I wanted to sew this decorative tree with her. So I agreed. She gave me a pattern and a sewing machine and it was actually a lot of fun to make. You can make it as tall as you want but I chose the smaller version. Just find some fabric with various patterns, but all similar colors. I chose green for mine, but my friend also made some using red and maroon colored fabrics. Sew a star button on the top and hotglue a ribbon on the back for a hanger.
Here is my friend's cute tree I used as an example.
The part that was most time consuming for me was hand sewing the bells on each corner and the "light" beads on the front. But these lights are so cute, am I right?
Here is the one that I made. It's a little lopsided at the bottom, but I still think it turned out cute and was totally cheap to make because my friend gave me all the materials! Thanks Lesa!
Personalized stockings:
My grandma found these matching stockings at the thrift store for under 50 cents each. They looked brand new. I wrote each of our names on the stockings using glitter glue. But you could make it as personalized as you want using things around your house. Buttons, ribbons, bells, bows, lace, iron on patches, beads, etc. Very easy and very cheap.
