Hamburger Cookies

I think these little hamburger cookies are so stinking cute and are a big hit with young kids. I remember my Aunt Kim taught me how to make these when I was about 11 years old, and whilst in the grocery store today something reminded me of them and so I decided to make some just for funzies. Vessie loves them!

What you need: Box of Nilla Wafers, package of Grasshopper mint chocolate cookies, red, green, and yellow cake frosting, corn syrup, and sesame seeds.

The Nilla Wafers take the place of the bun. Put a little dab of corn syrup or frosting on the inside of a wafer cookie and place the mint cookie (the hamburger patty) on top and secure. Put 3 drops of frosting on the edge of each side of the mint cookie, then place another wafer cookie on top. Smear a little corn syrup on the top and sprinkle sesame seeds. Let frosting and corn syrup set before serving.

I'm sure I remember your mom bringing these to class when Stephanie and I were in 1st grade, for her birthday treats. I had almost forgotten about them.
